A Marred Past

ENGLISH

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.—Ephesians 4:32

It is easy for us to soon forget we all have a scarred and marred past. Each us have our cuts, wounds, and scars from the pain of the past. At times these wounds leave scars that leave behind calloused places on our hearts. But this does not give us the right to be cruel, vicious, and relentless. Instead, the scars should remind us of the forgiveness we have in Christ that remind us to be kind, tender, and forgiving toward others who are scared and marred all the same.

DO THIS: Be kind, tender, and forgiving.

PRAY THIS: God, soften the scarred and marred place of my heart. Make the calluses tender again.
