A Powerful Word
Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. As he was going down, his servants met him and told him that his son was recovering. So he asked them the hour when he began to get better, and they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” And he himself believed, and all his household. This was now the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee. — John 4:50-54
God's Word is powerful. But remember, when we use the terminology "God's Word," we are not referring only to a book. We are referring to the spoken word of the God of the Universe. And when God speaks, things happen. Therefore men down through time wrote about the things God said, which have been compiled into a book we call the Bible. But the Bible is not an ordinary book. It's a spiritual book. And at one point in history, God's Word became flesh. It transformed from something transcribed to something personified. This means that in this instance, when Jesus speaks, he is speaking as the Word of God, pronouncing the Word of God — “Go; your son will live.”
We sometimes take for granted the incredible power of God's Word. Probably because we fail to see the full effect of its power. But right here we do. We watch as everything that happens following the Word of God speaking the Word of God is an effect of this first cause. God's Word was said to a man. That man believed God's Word. That man acted on God's Word by returning home. He was greeted by the celebration of a servant who saw the effects of God's Word on this man's son. And then, by God's Word, an entire household was affected.
So if this is the case and God's Word is that powerful, why are you not spending more time hearing, believing, acting on, celebrating, and speaking God's Word?
ASK THIS: What Word do you need to speak to others today?
DO THIS: Speak God's Word today.
PRAY THIS: God, give me a divine word from your Word to give to someone else today.
PLAY THIS: Word Of God.

Vince, listening and learning from your daily devotionals as I’m on travel in Arusha, Tanzania. Thank you for all of your hard work. It’s truly appreciated. God Bless!
Greatly appreciate this message today Vince and can say from 1st hand experience, sharing God’s word amongs brothers has been an extremely powerful tool in developing my spiritual passion and beginning to steer me down the path to discipleship. Thank you!
Today, with all the “noise” that surrounds us, it is so important that we get with God and turn off the “noise”. I can promise you all that if we make the effort to seek God in all this turmoil and chaos, we will hear from Him. This world has nothing to offer except noise without meaning.
God Bless you brother. Thank you for the platform to serve from.
God, give me a divine word from your Word to give to someone today.
Amen

Thank you for the devotions you do every day. I have been able to use these as I lead a group of men and women in prayer. The last week or so has opened my eyes as to how Jesus used a physical need in his life to meet a spiritual need in other peoples lives.
God bless you and your ministry.
P.S. I live in Mississauga Ontario Canada
Thank you for listening to God’s voice.
So cool, brother. What a testimony!!!!
Thank you Brother Vince! I love the phrase “The Word of God speaking the Word of God” to drive home the point that He is the Living Word. A great devotion on this Ash Wednesday, the start of the Lenten season for Catholic and other churches. I
I liked that too. God is always doing witty things.
