A Trust Economy
"Cursed are those who trust in mere mortals and make mere flesh their strength, whose hearts turn away from the LORD. They shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when relief comes. They shall live in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Blessed are those who trust in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD." —Jeremiah 17:5-7
Trust has its own economy, one that can receive regular deposits and withdrawals based on three actions. Integrity — the degree to which you do what you say you will do results in deposits or withdrawals of trust. Talent — the degree of mastery you have of your God-given talents can result in deposits or withdrawals of trust. Care — the degree to which you show gratefulness for others results in deposits or withdrawals of trust. In the end, during a day, you will make a few deposits and a few withdrawals. But God can be trusted every time. His integrity, talent, and care can be trusted every time. We can trust in Him, and our trust is Him. His faithfulness never ends, and "blessed are you when you do."
DO THIS: Trust in God, not in man.
