If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.—John 15:6
With such decisive words, the Savior delivers a sobering message. It's abide or burn, and the option is ours. Abiding infers that we are grafted into that which gives real life. Like the dead branches we all are, our only means of spiritual nourishment is grafting into that which gives growth and everlasting life. We are either grafted or gathered and if we are gathered, we are burned.
DO THIS: Abide in Christ today, find salvation in nothing else.
PRAY THIS: God, keep me close. I need you desperately for life and godliness.
