The Confirmation Of Affirmation

Father, glorify your name.” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.” Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not mine. — John 12:28-30

Men need encouragement. We long for it through the voice of affirmation. But Jesus does not need it. Even though he experiences real emotions, like we talked about yesterday, he does not need affirmation because his emotions never lead him toward insecurity. But he knows they do for the average man. So the thundering affirmation from heaven is a voice for them. One that they will need to return to again and again in the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

Just yesterday, a man from Georgia called me. And he prayed a prayer of affirmation over me on the phone. It was completely unexpected, but it was powerful and needed. And I will not forget that for a long time. The confirmation of that affirmation was powerful. And I promise it will be something I will come back to again and again because I need it, and so do you.

So give an affirmation to someone today. Affirm a Christian brother, your spouse, or your child. Reach out and bless them with a divine affirmation from your mouth to them and who they are in Jesus. I promise it will bless them because we don't do this often enough.

ASK THIS:

  1. Who do you need to affirm today?
  2. What will you say and speak over them?

DO THIS: Give an affirmation to one person today.

PRAY THIS: God, I come to You, seeking Your guidance, strength, and grace to navigate the challenges and blessings that lie ahead on my journey. May Your presence be my constant source of peace, and Your wisdom guides my every step.

PLAY THIS: Voice of God.

  1. Daniel R says:

Every day I send my two daughters, son in law, and my beautiful wife a message. It reads “I love you, I am proud of you, and I hope you have a great day” they all say it helps thier days, which makes me feel accomplished.
