See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8

This world is full of allure that tempts each of us as men. But these temptations begin in the mind. It is in the mind where thoughts are seeded which are contrary to God’s truth, and from these thoughts, we act. This is because God created us to be a believing being and from this, we each as men develop constructs, biases, and assumptions that become the worldview through which we see life. How a man thinks is important.

Beliefs adjust our mindset, and when we are not conscious of them, we can become very convinced that they are correct. And in most cases, they are not aligned with God’s truth. This means we must work in this life as men to cultivate a new way of thinking. The way we do this is by daily exposes ourselves to God’s word and truth. As we do this, we reset our mindset and align it with the only truth that works – God’s Truth.
