Anticipate Planning

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.—Matthew 1:1

I rarely plan. I'll often wait until the last moment to make my plans. But not God. He makes plans that precede time. Yes, God made plans before time was a thing. He was conscious, systematic, intentional, and predetermined with every plan He made. His son was to come—God anticipated it. And He wants us to see His anticipated plan. Matthew chapter one reveals God's careful plodding and planning. While each person, family, tribe, and nation that was born may have missed His plan or thought He poorly planned, perhaps they just missed seeing the bigger picture. Matthew chapter one is just a small snapshot of how carefully God planned. It's the revelation of his plan for salvation and the redemption of mankind. It's God demonstrating that you [fill in your name] are a part of His plan and that He has never taken his sights off of you.

DO THIS: Acknowledge God's incredible plan, by thanking Him for what He's done for you.

PRAY THIS: God, thanks for caring for me since the beginning of time, and for the plans you have made that I sometimes fail to acknowledge.
