Anticipate Unusual
In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.—Luke 1:39-41
And now the plot thickens. We discover that Mary and Elizabeth know each other. They are cousins, pregnant cousins. One young. One Old. One married. One not. One is carrying the prophet, John. One is carrying the savior, Jesus. This is a royal gathering of two boys, soon to be born, a duo that will rock the world. One is proclaiming the way. One who is the way.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."—John 14:6
