Ask Someone Older
When you want an opinion do you only inquire of those who are going to tell you what you want to hear? In my youth, I did. It was easy. They often saw everything from my perspective and told me what I wanted to hear. Maybe this is because friends sometimes find it challenging to speak the ugly truth. Yet those who are older than us have wisdom that comes from experience—both failure and success—and from this comes wisdom. Today instead of getting opinions from those who will parrot back what you want to hear, go to the "aged" and get some "wisdom" it might "lengthen your days."
“Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.” —Job 12:12
DO THIS: Ask someone older.
PRAYER: God, put someone older in my path today who will give me wisdom from a perspective I don't have—even when I don't want to hear it.
