Be Brave
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.—Galatians 1:10
Approval is an interesting phenomenon. It starts with a desire to please another person. And it's genuine. When we please them, this lowers our concerns of disapproval. And it works rather effectively in getting people to like us. But there is a tipping point. There's a point at which we seek the approval only of man. In turn, the pursuit of this path leads to us worshipping the pleasure of man, which is an unpleasant end. Instead, be brave today. Don't worship the approval of man. Be a servant, slave, and subject of the King.
DO THIS: Be a little braver and stop chasing the approval of others.
PRAY THIS: God, approve of me. I need it. And then help me to be brave!
