BE CONFIDENT

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6

From the first day until now, as Paul so eloquently says, we should have confidence in God's good work. Paul was a man who understood what it meant to be a work in progress. He was unequivocally dedicated to everything he did, both in persecuting the church early in his career and building it later. The goodness of God's work is never done in a man's life. If we let Him, God will move us forward as His man.

I am not known for being patient, but I have learned to be confident in God's timing and His process. Daily I need to remind myself that in the economy of God, there is always an opportunity for progress. He doesn't waste a day or a chance to develop me. All men who say yes to following Jesus Christ can be confident that someday there will be a completion. Some days are spent repairing what we cannot see, and others will present the dynamic growth opportunities. Stay fixed on the hope that God is carrying you forward to the day of completion.

DO THIS TODAY: Be confident that God is growing you to completion.
