Be Fearless

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.—Isaiah 41:10

No one aspires to be spineless, yet I meet so many who are. Each day I encounter an individual living in fear. They are afraid of all kinds of things; new experiences, confronting issues, being challenged, and secret sin. But fear is not an evil impulse; it's useful for warning us of impending danger. But "living in" fear is not suitable for God's man. We need to understand our fear as a preparatory stimulus rather than paralyzing response. It's preparation for something great that you never have to do alone. It's an adventure with God who "will strengthen, help, and uphold you with his righteous hand."

DO THIS: Do something you fear and be fearless.

PRAYER: God, I frequently feel alone in my fear. Today give me the courage to confront my fear and as I do; be with me.
