At the top of this week we are reminded again we are all fallen men. And no one is feeling this more today than Bill Hybels, who is now among men who have charged with more sexual allegations as a man of the cloth days before the Global Leadership Summit. This growing list of accusations against him are devasting first to the victims and families, then to the church, and also to Hybels and his family.

Here are four principles and verses I am reminded of today:

• No man is without sin, including me. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
• Sin has a wage of consequences to be paid. "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23
• Sin will always find you out. "You have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out." Number 32:23
• Our faith is not based on the character of an ordinary man. "Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2

DO THIS: Pray for the church, and against sin.

PRAYER: God, today I am reminded of the ramifications of sin. Search my heart and cleanse me of unrighteousness.
