Build Resilience
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Sometimes we need someone to get in our grill. I feel so encouraged and strengthened when someone who cares about me gets in my face and says "you've got this." It's not just getting in your face to confront you for something done wrong, but for something they know you can do right. It's motivation we need. It's a buddy leaning in and lifting your spirits by looking you square in the eye and saying "you've got this." But it's not only about overcoming a physical feat or performing high in an athletic event; it's about overcoming a spiritual fear. In the text above the man that gets in Joshua's face is God. Yes the Lord God Almighty. And he says to Joshua and all men not "you've got this" but "I (the Lord) got this" so then "be strong and courageous" in me, the One, who's got all things.
DO THIS: Remember today He's got this and build resilience.
PRAYER: God, help me today to be strong and courageous knowing you've got it.
