"I called on your name, O Lord,
    from the depths of the pit;

you heard my plea, 'Do not close
    your ear to my cry for help!'

You came near when I called on you;
    you said, 'Do not fear!'—Lamentations 3:55-57

Have you been in the pit lately? Like in the depths of it? If you have, did you know this is the place where God hears our plea? When we call on God from this place. He hears. And his reply to you—"Do not fear!"
