Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.—Hebrews 12:1-2
Witness it! And then lay everything else aside—fear, concerns, issues, challenges—and run. Just run the race. And endure for the sake of endurance. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Look only to him. Look not to circumstance. Look to the cross, and it's suffering and consider what Christ did for you. In comparison, your suffering is trivial. So fix, endure, and despise the shame you feel my brother. This is something we are in together—suffering for the sake of Christ.
DO THIS: Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face.
PRAY THIS: God, I have turned my gaze. Help me to see your beauty today. May the things of earth grow strangely dim.
