Disappointed With Friends
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.—Proverbs 18:24.
We have all had some moment we have disappointed in a friend. Maybe they failed to deliver on a promise. Embellished an untruth. Spoke a word of gossip. Said something hurtful. Or left you out. Often we immediately jump to several conclusions, including "What's wrong with me?" Then frustration, anger, or resentment sets in and before you know it, our thoughts cycle entirely around ourselves. When you find yourself at this moment, consider less what others need to do to be the right friend and instead consider what you need to do to be a good friend (or maybe find better friends). Because there is "a friend, who sticks closer than a brother."
DO THIS: Be a friend, and tell a friend thank you today.
PRAYER: God, bring friends into my life that make me better. And help me to be the best of friends.
