Do You Want A Miracle For A Lost Friend?

So God is victorious. Daniel is saved. And the men who plotted against Daniel and Darius are sentenced and killed. And then king Darius makes this public proclamation:

Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: "Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. He delivers and rescues; he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions." — Daniel 6:25-27

This is a profound declaration by Darius, the present world emperor. And I think those who are redeemed dream of moments like this. Right now, I believe some men want something like this to happen in our world with many of our current leaders. But on another level, some of us also want this to happen for family and friends who don't know Christ. We would love for God to show up one day and do something miraculous to change them forever. We want them to see a spectacular event that would turn them from opponents to proponents. And get this. It can happen. And here is what is required — one faithful man.

We sometimes fail to see the genius of obedience done over a long period. You see, one faithful man can have an impact. This man could even be a castrated slave who would never have a wife or family. He could be someone living under the oppression of a king, culture, and political system planning his demise. And yet, given impossible odds, God worked through this man. And it resulted in salvation and the public proclamation of God's name to the known world.

Do you know what that means? That means he could use you. But that means you must be faithful in the most challenging of times. So don't give up today. God might be about to use you to do something miraculous and proclaim his name to the ends of the earth.

ASK THIS: What one thing do you need to do today to be faithful?

DO THIS: Do that one thing.

PRAY THIS: God, help me be faithful again today.
