Don't Vacilate

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but in him it is always Yes.—2 Corinthians 1:19

Many days you will have decisions before you that are tough to make. You will have moments where these decisions will be so complicated that it will require listing the pros and cons of the choice before you. And some choices become even more complicated when the pros and cons are too evenly weighted. This experience can present you with a form of decision paralysis. But what if in these moments you knew what to do before the paralysis took hold?

Isn't it interesting how Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy do not vacillate in their decision? There's no indecision. There's no need for a list of pros and cons. There's no double-speak. There's no politically correct response. It's not yes, and no, it's only yes in obedience to God. They know the decision. They know the word. They never face a moment of indecision, indifference, or inaction. It's yes when it comes to proclaiming Christ.

As you are faced with many difficult decisions today, make sure and make the easiest one first—say yes to Christ and proclaiming his name regardless of the circumstance.

DO THIS: Don't vacillate, say yes.

PRAYER: God, I confess that there are many moments in a day I vacillate on what course of action to take. Because of this, I have had many moments of regret. Moments I have failed to share your truth. Moments I have been unable to stand up for what is right. Moments I fall victim to groupthink or the crowd mentality. But not today. Today I am committing to saying yes to You.
