There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.—Ephesians 4:4-6
We want unity at present more than we care to admit. There is a division in our country and world that is becoming increasingly prevalent. And while your values may be different than someone on the other side of the isle—God's vision was always for oneness. But not oneness at the exclusion of certain fundamentals, values, and attributes. That's right; oneness is exclusive. The reason being—it's not our oneness and ideology we seek. It's oneness under a God who is the One. These seven oneness acclamations are all about God—body, Spirit, hope, Lord, faith, baptism, and God. Under God, we unite. Under God, we live. Under God, we are defined. In God, we trust.
ASK THIS: What are some things that are dividing us today?
DO THIS: Let's unite under God and trust in him in a world that's divided.
PRAY THIS: God, may people see in me the one hope that all men need today. Indivisible unity to your body through hope, faith, and baptism under one Father, Lord, and Spirit.
