To become fearless, we have to be willing to do what others will not do. It may even appear to onlookers (those who are still on the boat) to be irrational. This means that the fearless person acts in that moment of indifference cognitively aware of their fears but embraces uncertainty, even a willingness to look stupid, releases control and then keeps their eye locked on the prize. And yes, sometimes you are going to blow it. But you will learn something from this failure. And in the end, you will look back and you will have done something that no one else in all of history has done. You will have experienced a “miraculous” event in your life.
