From The Dead
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world.—Ephesians 2:1-2
The tense of the verbs are the key to understanding our present state. There was a way in which we all lived and it was like everyone else of the world. We were lifeless. Dead men walking. In bondage to the trespasses and sins of the past. But this is no longer.
ASK THIS: What thoughts and attitudes remind you of your lifeless past?
DO THIS: Give these dying thoughts to God and start living.
PRAY THIS: God, thanks for saving me from my dying life and giving me time to live again. But help me to not live in the defeat of the past.
PLAY THIS: Hillsong: Alive
