"Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with a forbidden woman
    and embrace the bosom of an adulteress?
For a man's ways are before the eyes of the Lord,
    and he ponders all his paths." Proverbs 5:20-21

"Intoxicated," is an appropriate term. It means to become poisoned to the point of losing control of your behavior. Have you ever been intoxicated with what is "forbidden?" Jesus proposes in the Book of Matthew that to look upon a woman with lustful intent is to become sinfully intoxicated. And while you may not have become drunk with the act of "adultery," you have taken a lustful drink "embracing adultery" in the secret thoughts within your mind. Remember that even your secret "ways are before the eyes of the Lord." In other words, God sees what others don't, so be fully aware of your private thoughts and "ponder all your paths" as if God is walking the day with you.
