"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” John 1:14

Many people feel that in trials, troubles, and the tribulations of life that God is distant. This could not be further from the truth. God came closer than many realize or believe. God became a man - "flesh." And while it seems unlikely for a god to stoop down to our level, God was willing to go to the furthermost to extend grace, love, and mercy to you. He "emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." (Philippians 2:7) Jesus, God's son, walked in your flesh and therefore knows your trials, troubles, and tribulations. Not in a sympathetic way (from a distance) but an empathetic way  (up close). So today choose to believe that God is close, even very close, even closer than you currently feel.

DO THIS: Choose to believe God has come close.

PRAYER: God, in my struggle today help my unbelief. Overwhelm me with your presence and let know in some way today that you have come close to me.
