Great Words That Require Great Commitment

ENGLISH

For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and at the last he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin has been thus destroyed,
yet in my flesh I shall see God,
whom I shall see for myself,
and my eyes shall behold, and not another.
My heart faints within me!— Job 19:25-27

These are incredible words from Job. A man suffering like he is should not be able to speak them. But because he does, we see a collection of radical contrasts that inspire us to greater faith. Faith in the spirit, and not the flesh. Faith in the future, and not the present. Faith in the unseen, and not the seen. Faith in a Redeemer who will redeem and not destroy.

While Job is a man marked by physical circumstances, he will not let circumstances mark him. He is marked by a living faith in a dying body. A faith determined to see God regardless of the pain that may come his way.

Are you this man?

that was a powerful acoustic. I need to address my lack of worship compared to those two young kids, they put my efforts to shame some days. God, please remind me, gently or powerfully, that grace got me as the famous mercyme song goes. Amen.

  2. Cory B says:

Those kids should be on AGT or something!

I need to be quiet and just listen and not respond. It never ends well when I respond quickly. It’s not God’s will, it’s mine.

  3. Dennis says:

Even though I have learned to praise our Father through my days when the pain from my severe arthritis is making it difficult to walk, I still sometimes allow the evil going on in within our nation through the government fog my focus. I must continually remind myself my Redeemer lives!

    • Alexander Riddle says:

Temptation, Faith in God to provide and complete his work in me, overcoming automatic negative thinking

  4. Kenneth Peavy says:

Vince I just want to thank you for what you are doing by helping men come closer to God. I have been listening to your daily devotions for a couple of weeks now and they have surely helped me.

Stepping into a ministry or mission and that is not where God want’s me to serve i am praying for clear directions as to where he want’s me to serve.
