Grow, For God’s Sake
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.—2 Peter 3:18
Growth is not a passive activity. It is something we must both encounter and engage. Here is what that means. We must first encounter it if we are going to engage it. And guess what—God goes first. He extends grace in the life of Jesus Christ so that we can know His grace. And once we experience His grace, He demands growth. Therefore the "but" is imperative. Grow, for God's sake, and know the Savior.
DO THIS: Do one thing to grow spiritually today!
PRAY THIS: God, may I not be passive again today. Incite my growth in your Son, the Savior of the world.
