You Know He Sees That Don't You?

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. — Proverbs 15:3

I love verses like this because they remind us of spiritual concepts of which we tend to lose sight.

The spiritual principle is relatively simple — God is watching. And for some reason, this slips our minds. It slips our minds when we think evil about someone that we shouldn't be thinking. It slips our minds when we look at something we shouldn't be looking. It slips our minds when doing something we know we shouldn't be doing. In that split second, just before we think, look, and act, we somehow forget that God is watching. But he is watching, all the time, because nothing slips past God — he sees all things, good and evil.

This simple spiritual concept is critical for us as men because we have wayward desires. Therefore we need a truthful, just, and righteous Lord to watch over us. Sometimes, the conscious awareness that God is always watching over us is enough to draw us back from evil and sway us to good. I know this has been true for me.

So today, as you go throughout your day, remember God is watching. He sees all evil and all good. And let this subtle thought persuade you to do what is right in his sight at all times, even when others are not watching.

ASK THIS: Are there moments you forget God is watching during your day?

DO THIS: Be a little more aware that God is watching today.

PRAY THIS: God, remind me of you and your presence that watches over me many times today.

PLAY THIS: Francesca Battistelli - Holy Spirit.

    Hebrews 4:13 (NKJV)
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

I think of the WWJD, of course sometimes it comes to me a little late. I think it helps me so much with things to know that God is watching us, God is with us! Have a good day my brothers! Iron Sharpens Iron! ❤️

  4. Tom Smith says:

Great words!!! Often times we think that just because we are alone we can get away with something, but God is omnipresent, every where, all the time.

  5. Tom F. Sr. says:

Thanks Vince! Be encouraged and keep up the great work. Another much needed reminder that if we choose wrongly when alone, the only person we are fooling is ourself! Lord Jesus, may all that I think, do and am be pleasing and acceptable to You! 🙌

  6. Ed says:

I pray earnestly that we all may know the presence of God almighty who not only watches us, but watches over us. May our ears be listening to the Holy Spirit as well instead of all the noise in the world today.

    • Trent says:

      Amen to that!

I struggle with know God is watching and knowing right from wrong but like a selfish child I choose my path anyway. Forgive me Lird and may the thoughts of my mind and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in thy sight oh Lord my God and my redeemer.

      • Dennis says:

If we are honest, we all slip on occasion. But, I noticed one big difference, the closer I get to God and the deeper I go with Him the less I slip.

  7. Jack says:

If God can see me, He can hear me. When I get in these difficult situations, I like to call out to Him for help and if I get too far down the road call out in repentance and for restoration.

I am glad that I have a heavenly Father, who by His Holy Spirit, allows me to live with a clear conscience.
