He's Never Unapproachable
Some people are unapproachable. You never know how to share your heart or concerns with them—especially when it's about them. Specific attributes are consistent with these people. They often have a judgmental attitude about events of life. They are systematically resistant to change, especially when it involves them. Also, they tend to attack with greater enthusiasm when they feel even momentarily on the defense. Often their "unapproachableness" is invigorated when their tactics meet with success. These bully's make us want to retreat, give in, and even apologize for the way we feel. Eventually, we convince ourselves that reconciliation, restitution, and restoration are impossible with these people. So we quit. Give up. And hold our thoughts and feelings in contributing to the impasse. These tensions exist in a marriage, workplace, and church. But aren't you glad we have an approachable God who is not like mankind? Approachable in every way.
"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you." —Jeremiah 29:12
