How's Your Bracket

"Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,
lest the Lord see it and be displeased,
and turn away his anger from him." —Proverbs 24:17-18

If you are like me, you might be catching moments of March Madness. Some games interest me and others I really don't care to watch. But then there are a couple of teams that you know you want to lose. For me, they are usually those big budget top seed teams that seem to be in the Final Four every year. And you might even find them irritating to watch. As you watch, pretty soon you find you wish evil on them. Technicals. Ejections. Injuries. And then you pause to read the words above. While this enemy lives within, letting him out might not be a good idea. You might just be celebrating your demise when God "turns away his anger from him"—to you.

DO THIS: Don't rejoice when your enemy falls.

PRAYER: God, today I pray for those who are my enemies. Use your justice to lead them back to you, as you did me.
