I Am Your Father

"...and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."—2 Corinthians 6:18

More than any earthly father, we need this Father. He is a Father who is willing to parent us. He is one who is eager to call us "son" and "daughter." And in this active adoption, he not only invites us into his family but supplies our identity.

Are you desperate for acceptance, love, grace, forgiveness, and mercy?

If so, you have a Father that is willing to accept you. He is not like your earthly father. He is also not like you. He is the father you've always wanted—perfect in all his ways.

DO THIS: Let the Father parent you.

PRAYER: God, forgive me for forgetting that I am first a son, and through this help me to both be a better son, husband, and father.
