"He chose David his servant and took him from the sheepfolds.” Psalm 78:70

When you read a sentence like this, you cannot help but think, "I want to be chosen like David." In reality, we all do. Every human regardless of their status and stance on God would love to be picked by the All-Powerful God. Imagine it. One day the God shows up at your place of business, your "sheepfolds," and in a great spectacle walks in and selects you. And then he "takes" you from your current workplace to someplace of greater significance. This "choosing" and "taking" by "Him" results in an exhibition that alters your identity forever. Because of his selection, your perception by others changes, and also, your opinion of yourself changes too. And the good news is - that God is in the choosing business and he has chosen you.

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you..." - Jesus Christ in John 15:16

DO THIS: Live as a chosen one.

PRAYER: God, teach me how to abide in Christ as a chosen one. Teach me to live my life as you would have me to live in total dependence upon you, which is the life of Christ lived through me, so that I may produce the good fruit in my life that is honoring to You. God, help me to live my life to and for you in that you have selected me. Help me to glorify your name and to carry out the work that You have prepared for me to do.
