In The Hush

ENGLISH

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.—Psalm 107:28-29

Do you ever want to cry out? I do. Sometimes my troubles bring me to the point of no retreat, at least by human efforts. Because of this, we experience distress, and this distress leads us to the only one who can deliver us—God. It is he who can calm any storm—natural or metaphorical. And he calms the natural storms to prove he can calm the metaphorical ones.

DO THIS: Cry out today—he can handle it.

PRAY THIS: God, please calm the storm of my life, and with it my frustration, anger, and disappointment.
