Into Perpetuity

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."—2 Corinthians 5:17

Don't read this as a single event in time. Read it as "new," but into perpetuity. For in Christ you are not spiritually once only to become infected again by your failings, faults, and flaws. You are new each moment, into perpetuity. Perpetually cleansed by Christ's sacrifice until the new age comes. Which demands a loving response by you. One of willingness, receptivity, confession, change, and repentance rooted in the love that Christ made it possible.

DO THIS: Act in your newness.

PRAYER: God, may I believe that I am a new creation in as much as you have made me new.
