Does Jesus Care About Me?

And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!” — John 6:12-14

Sometimes in our life, we are prone to believe that Jesus doesn't care. That he is too big to care about the tiny details of our lives. But this story illustrates precisely the opposite. We watch as Jesus cares about everything. He cares about:

  • Our unbelief.
  • Our ignorance.
  • Our hunger.
  • Our provision.
  • Our needs in groups.
  • Our needs as an individual.
  • Our past.
  • Our celebrations.
  • Our education.
  • Our assets.
  • Even the scraps of leftovers.

Jesus cares about every tiny little detail of our lives. He cares more about the thing you think he doesn't care about even more than you do. And he wants you to know that he cares, which is why he gave you this miracle. That's right. This miracle was not just for these people. It was for you. Jesus wants you to know that he cares about you the same. So don't for a second believe that Jesus doesn't give a second thought to you. He thinks about you every second of every day, which is why he came to die for you. His life, sacrificed on the cross, is how he cared for every detail of your life. So believe it. He cares for you. The question on the table is — do you care about him?

ASK THIS: Do you believe Jesus cares about the tiny details of your life?

DO THIS: Care about him by believing he cares.

PRAY THIS: God, I believe Jesus cares about every tiny detail of my life.

    I looked at the title and I said “Yes of Course”. I don’t deserve but I know my friend Jesus does. I didn’t see this passage coming though amd it hit me upside the head, which I needed. Thank you Vince and God Bless you and all of my brothers here.

      I definitely agree we cannot comprehend God’s love because it is a much higher and deeper level than we will ever know. But I definitely believe he cares about every tiny detail of our lifes.

    I am going through a difficult season right now, but I know Jesus cares for me as he is always walking beside me. I am leaning on him more right now, by spending more time in God’s Word, to help me get through this season.

      Hi Michael,

      I pray your season end soon and you come out more refined and cleansed by the Holy Spirit. If you have not, let me encourage you to find at least one more man (one that is strong in the faith) in your family church. We were made brothers to walk together. Perhaps you the Lord bring one man that has been victorious in this type of difficulty and can guide you with the Spirit to sanctification. In the Spirit, I love you brother!

    It is hard for me to believe and accept that Jesus cares about the “tiny details”. Or things that seem insignificant to me. Why pray about those things? Ya know? But I think I just cannot comprehend His capacity or His love as it is on so much higher and deeper level than my own.

      I hear you Trent.

      For me is very refreshing and life breathing to know that He cares about “everything” about me. I will not fully understand this on this side of Heaven and don’t have to, BUT I accept His love for a sinful man like me. I pray for His favor on things the common person may find “pity” BUT I know He cares and is our relationship between us.

      Pray you have a bless day and do not get hang up in the non-essentials, the enemy is looking for the smallest fraction of doubt But Jesus is looking for the smallest fraction of faith. Praise You Jesus
