JESUS IS LORD
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
John 1:9-13
30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
John 20:30-31
Today is the first day following the celebration of the risen Lord. What does a man do on the next day? Believe that Jesus is Lord. Jesus had a purpose for coming and there was no mistake in His intention. Disbelief was a hurdle overcome by the proof of the death and resurrection of Jesus. His coming was in line with God's will and meant to inspire belief.
Belief in Jesus is the purpose of the recorded Word of God. And the result of belief is life. Men who believe in the name of Jesus and receive Him as Lord are included in the promises of God. Inspired by the events of the risen Lord, let your mind and action be inspired by the person of Jesus. Move forward this week knowing that Jesus is Lord and believe that He is the Messiah.
DO THIS TODAY: Acknowledge in your mind and show on your face that Jesus is Lord.
