Joshua Harris Kisses Christianity Goodbye
“For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.”—Hebrews 3:14

His confession to the wrongs he feels he has perpetuated can be read in his response [read more]. But does this shift precipitate a walk away from the sound tenets of our faith? It's a change that has snowballed into divorce, a resignation from pastoring, and ultimately a rejection of Christianity. While I don't know all the details of what led to him making each of these decisions, I think it appropriate to pray for people just like Joshua who have been corrupted by misbelief and in the process hurt by the attacks of people. The Christ I know heals hurts, loves the lost, and restore relationships through every misbelief. And as challenges like these come our way, we need to remember to "hold to our original confidence firm to the end." Christ alone is our confidence.
DO THIS: Pray in you misbelief, and hold to the confidence of the faith.
PRAYER: God, bless Joshua Harris today, and his process with you. Together as men sharing in suffering give us first confidence firm to the end.
