Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.

Luke 15:6

Jesus masterfully tells a parable about a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to find the one. Shepherd's had one duty: take care of sheep at all costs. The man went out to look for the sheep because no loss was acceptable. This parable should cause a man to think about prioritizing loss.

Being like Jesus, becoming His disciple, means learning to care about the things He cares about. As the Great Shepherd, Jesus cares about those that wander away. Spend some time praying for and, if you dare, talking to someone who needs some spiritual encouragement. Tune your heart in to the great joy of finding lost sheep.
