Learn It Younger
"Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning."—Proverbs 9:9
Learning and growth is part of being a Christian man. We should have an impulse for it and even crave it. Notice that a "wise man" longs to be "still wiser." Notice that a "righteous man" wants to "increase in learning." But it's the man who doesn't learn that is concerning to God. Some men have trouble learning—and I, like you, are one of those men. Sometimes I learn, but the passion quickly fades. Still, other times, I learn but have too many different agendas, voices, and issues that prevent the advancement of the lessons I have learned. But learning is critical, so be open today to something God may be teaching through someone else—a supervisor, friend, spouse, or a child. God is always instructing; we don't always open our hearts to the needed instruction so that it produces change and growth.
DO THIS: Learn from God through people and circumstances today.
