Day 4

Be Excited

And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. And Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah."—Matthew 17:1-4

Peter is always eager to contribute. He has an exuberance that some men have, others want, and all men can relate to. He appears to have these impulsive responses throughout the New Testament. And who wouldn't? Peter and his two buds, James and John, catch a rare glimpse of what Jesus being changed into a glorified state. And thus his response.

Men who are excited about something show it. On occasion we will be caught shouting at the television, singing at concerts, and dancing in celebration. We do this when our pretense is low, and enthusiasm is high. And it's entertaining to see this from men. But it is even more exciting to see it come from men who are excited about their relationship with Christ—like Peter is here! So today, be excited about something, but even more, be excited about Christ. There has to be something that you have spiritually seen or experienced that is worth a shout, song, or dance in your life. Take a moment to praise God about it, and then share it with the people in your life.

This week we are focusing our discipline on the theme of prayer.

Your Call To Act (C.T.A.) today is:

  • Give Thanks: in the comment section below! Share one thing you are thankful for in 1-5 words.
  • Pray: for 5-minutes and thank God for this one thing.

I thank God for opening my eyes, much more wider, to 2 powerful verses in the Bible that I’ve read before but didn’t quite realize the depth and breath of, or thoroughly appreciate the deeper meaning of until I read these verses in the New King James format (NKJV)

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God has thoughts of us & is thinking of us , now and forever, with His peace; to give us a future and a hope !!
    – its not about prosperity but a present, and eternal thinking of us along with a forever future with eternal hope. Meditate on that (Selah)

Also, “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.””. ‭John‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I knew John 3:3 states that one must be born again but I never realized the extension of that statement found in the 2nd part – “ in order to see the Kingdom of heaven!!”
without being born again, no one can see/ be in the Kingdom to come !! I have been impacted by NKJV in a way I have never been impacted before.

    Be blessed !!

Thank you Lord for changing my hearts desires to only want Tonya and no other for the rest of my life until my dying days. I have experienced chains and burdens lifted from my life and forgiveness for unconfessed sin that I have carried for years. I have also witnessed victories in my marriage as small as they may be Victories none the less. All praise goes to God for all of my blessings.

Freedom and a roof over my head. How long it will remain I do not know. What I do know is that everything can be taken away but God will never forsake me….I hope He doesn’t take everything away but all I have left is faith.

Thanks for your post. I would love to say that the very first thing you will need to conduct is find out if you really need credit repair. To do that you must get your hands on a duplicate of your credit rating. That should never be difficult, because government makes it necessary that you are allowed to receive one free copy of your actual credit report yearly. You just have to inquire the right individuals. You can either check out the website for that Federal Trade Commission or maybe contact one of the main credit agencies right away.
