"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another."—2 Corinthians 3:18

Some days it doesn't feel like I am experiencing the transformation process. But maybe that is because I don't understand God's law of "one degree." While I want to experience 10, 30, or even 50 degrees of transformation, God is working in me at his pace which is usually "one degree" at time. Maybe this is because I can't handle transformation at his speed? Maybe it's because there is so much foundational work that must be done? Maybe it's because my story is still building into something he will use as a witness? But this is not central to our concern. Notice what is—"beholding the glory." This is our work. This is our focus. This is the beginning. And while transformation is essential, perhaps we need to be less focused on our results and more focused on the right thing—"the glory of the Lord."
