Measure It
That you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.—Ephesians 3:17-19
Did you know you are rooted in something that is humanly immeasurable? There is no end to God's rooted and grounded love. Yet many a man believes that God loves him with limits. That God no longer loves when we fail to lead or obey. Now God is disgusted by sin, but still, he loves man because he sees the poverty of our sin and our situation's despair. And the only thing that can rescue us is the immeasurable love of Christ that is disgusted by the wedge sin has become for mankind. God's love surpasses this, but we have to believe it and know it. So be filled with knowledge and its fullness. Let God love the unlovable place in your life.
ASK THIS: Where do you need to let God love you?
DO THIS: Accept God's surpassing, rooted, grounded, immeasurable, and reckless love.
PRAY THIS: God, I receive your love in the places, I don't love even myself. Come great, Lover, and love the unlovable me. Drive sin away—tear it down, kick it down.
