The disciples of John reported all these things to him. And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?” And when the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?’”  In that hour he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many who were blind he bestowed sight. And he answered them, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

Luke 7:18-22

Now that is a message. A message worth sharing.

I cannot tell you how many times I have been excited about something and simply could not wait to tell someone about it. Things like my favorite sports teams, hobbies, travel plans, etc., are all among things I usually talk about. If I’m excited to speak of those things that come and go, how much better to share the unchanging good news of Jesus.

But this is the immutable evidence. Sight. Walking. Hearing. And life from death. What could be more exciting than the miraculous? It is just like the early days of our faith. Do you remember those moments? Every lesson was full excitement. Every conversation was full of joy. Everything we discovered about Jesus was beyond cool. He is the same Jesus today as He has always been, and your life as his man should be an adventure every day.

Do this today: Think over what excites you about Jesus.
