More Of Him
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” —Psalm 19:1
It is incredible that creation so easily "declares" the glory of God, and even the "sky" follows suit. But what about man, God's most fabulous creation? I don't know if you are like me, but I can easily be swayed to steal God's glory. The allure is powerful and yet devious at the same time. It only takes a success, group applause, or a few victories to get me to a point where I steal the glory of the Father. Forgetting God made me, redeemed me, gifted me—but not for me. On the other hand, it only takes a failure, quiet shaming, or a litany of losses to hearing the screaming voice of self-disqualification which steals God's glory from the other direction. The obvious inferred principle applied to the "heavens" and "sky" is radical submission and obedience to its creative order. This is your delta today. Live in submission and obedience and give Him glory.
DO THIS: Point to God's glory not your own.
PRAYER: God, forgive me for trying to steal your glory. Let not my successes or failures bait me into stealing what makes You great.
