Muscle Up In Adversity
If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.—Proverbs 24:10
It's a principle of life. When it hardest to go for a daily jog, it's the most important day to go for the run. And when it's most tempting to break with a diet, that's the most critical moment to stick with the plan. And why is this a principle of life? Because this is where not just our body is changed but where our mind is changed. If we faint in the day—notice it's only a moment—then we may miss the opportunity to discover more significant strength. So today, my friend, stay with it a little longer, whatever the challenge you are facing, and realize the benefit of added strength on the other side.
DO THIS: Push through adversity, and lean on His shoulders.
PRAY THIS: God, help me not to give in and give up today. Give me the needed strength today to endure the challenges my family, work, relationships, and this stressing season present to me. Be my rest and rescue.
