"And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

So the American government is in partial shut down with no discussion on when talks will resume. By nature, this puts some government employees "out-of-work" during the Christmas break. But there are many people this time of year who feel put out, laid off, beat up, and shut down. For us who feel this way, we have a unique Christmas ahead of us. One that will be reflective of the blessings we do have and prayerful for the ones we do not have. As we celebrate Jesus's birth this year, remember that he came close to you with the intent to always be with you. "Close to you" in a very personal way. The government is on Jesus' shoulders, and he promises to never leave, abandon, or shut down on you. He is "with you always, to the end of the age."

PRAYER: God, you feel far today, but thank you for coming close. And going to the farthest extent by sending your only Son to the world - for me.
