For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named—Ephesians 3:14-15

In his defense of our inheritance, Paul recognizes that there is a heritage that goes deeper than the short reaches of the past 100 or 200 years. That there is a heritage that stems from an eternal Father. That we have only one Father, and he gave birth to all creation. And because of this, no other ethnic divide exists. There is only One who names. There is only One who defines. There is only God. He is the Father of all. It's to him we submit our futile existence. So in reverence, Paul bows his knees—not to culture, not to ethnicity, not to race, not to religion, not to politics, but God the Father of all.

ASK THIS: Are you bowing your knees to something other than God?

DO THIS: Bow to God the Father only.

PRAY THIS: God, I give everything and every concern I have to you. Forgive me for putting other things before you.

PLAY THIS: Philips, Craig, & Dean: You Are God Alone.
