"For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7

You will often need a friendly "reminder" about things on the spiritual journey. And Paul's reminder to his young mentee Timothy is something you may need to remember today. You are called to "fan into flame" or make bigger "the gift of God." This infers you should not let the world, business, people, marketing, pop culture, politics, or even your family quench the fire that God started. God has laid hands on you as his man. You were given "power" by his spirit to do incredible things. Our Enemy's plan is to keep you from acting and speaking up by perpetuating a "spirit of fear." God, on the other hand, has given you a spirit "of power and love and self-control."

DO THIS: Live in power.

PRAYER: God, may I not shirk back today. When I do experience fear, may I reach for your power and live out my gift in the world in the right way, with the right force, and at the right time.
