PRIORITIZE YOUR TESTIMONY
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 1 Corinthians 13:3-8
A witness is someone who knows relevant to an event or other matter of interest. An eyewitness is a person who testifies what they perceive through their senses. Over 500 individuals can testify as eyewitnesses to the validity of the risen Christ. Including a man who wrote nearly half of the New Testament books. Purpose, passion, and priority reveal what men give testimony to.
Paul thought it was of first importance to pass along the truth of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. His number one priority was to deliver his testimony of Jesus Christ. How should we as men follow Paul? Men who follow Paul's example are men who appropriately prioritize what they testify to. Our lives tell a story through the way we interact with the world around us. As God's man, emulating Paul's passion for the gospel is an example worth following.
