RECOGNIZE ABUNDANCE

13 Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. 14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.

1 Chronicles 29:13-14

At this moment, David is transitioning the Kingdom to his son Solomon. Solomon is the king God designated would build the temple, the place of God among His people. Excellent leadership and wealth are overflowing. This time is the height of Israel as a nation and David responds with great humility before God. His example is one worth following.

These words give us an idea of how we ought to respond to God when blessed with abundance. David recognized that it all comes from God. Only God can be this generous and David has nothing of his own to give. You can hear the great humility coming from the wealthy leader of God's people. Take up the same attitude as David with whatever abundance you have in your life.

DO THIS TODAY: Humbly recognize the abundance God's given you.
