Seduction

Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,
from the wayward woman with her seductive words—Proverbs 2:16

The adulterous woman of this text is not an attempt to demonize women; it's a call to attention for men using something sexy, which gets a man's attention. It's a warning by King Solomon, the wisest man of his day, that there are persuasive people in life who have appeal, allure, and attraction, much like two people who seek infidelity. The real seduction of this text is two adventurous people and their mutually seductive ideas. So today, don't be fooled by the next adventure and seductive idea and thus become the fool. Instead, be wise and be saved from "adulterous decisions" that lead down a path of regret.

DO THIS: When presented with the next best idea from an adventurous person—pause, and consider if it is wise and in line with God's will.

PRAY THIS: God, keep me from fools and foolish decisions. Give me the wisdom of King Solomon.
